Using different strategies that I used to build up my self-esteem and help prevent self-sabotage.
Be nice to my person, that’s me. I stopped just being aware of the negative things that I did or that I was saying. I started to focus on everything and anything that was positive.
Staying in my lane - I stopped wanting to be like others. I also stop comparing myself to them. Someone will always be smarter, richer, and more successful than me. I resigned myself to the fact that that's simply okay. There's only one me, and nobody can do things the way I do them.
Exercise and dieting also played a big part in my self-esteem. Through my diet and exercise, I found it easier to remain in a positive mindset. and because I felt better about myself I was able to focus more threw out my day.
Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes. This is something to always keep in mind whenever you trying something new and getting out of your comfort zone. This was a big driver for me with my business for sure.
To go along with this perfectionism is one of the quickest ways to set yourself up for failure. It's unfortunate but this is how the school system teaches us. There's a test you got to get an “A”. Your report card coming out, where are the A's…
The best way to get out of your comfort zone just to start by taking imperfect action and allow yourself to make mistakes.
Celebrate and reward yourself for the small accomplishments. When you set out and do something and get it done take time to reward yourself. Celebrating small victories is a great way to build your confidence and make you feel good about yourself.
Surround yourself with supportive people. Not everyone is going to understand the path you're
on so choose carefully and hang around the people that make you feel good and support you.
These are the things that have helped me in the past and still continue to help me in a huge way.
